COMMON MISTAKES IN WRITING

Dear students,

It's August. Another 2 weeks...September. Don't listen to a song "wake me up when September ends" it will be too late. After marking dozens of your work, you still make the same mistakes...over and over again. Here thay are:

  1. Malay terms.
You still write 'Melayu', 'Cina', 'India', in your essays. We have specific terms for these words.

2.   singular-plural / verb-tenses

-Malaysia have (has)
-there is many ways...
-a Malay celebrate
-our country have
-our country stay
-one of the ways we can promote unity are ...
-the second ways to promoted national unity...
-our country have a many festivals...

Insuffucient content and weak langauge are "killing" you. Please do something about it.  Use the language as frequent as possible. To improve your grammar and vocab read more and do take note on the use of the language and new words. Take your time to check for contextual meaning. Haphazard sentences will be included in my next entry.

Your oral is as bad as your written. Please please do something. Don't wait for the end of September to wake up. Wake up now. WAKE UP! WAKE UP!

Sincerely from "Sir" Francis.
